The Mariculture Conference of Alaska is an opportunity for farmers, researchers, and professionals in mariculture-related industries and agencies to present on and discuss a broad range of issues related to the latest mariculture innovations, science, and activities in Alaska.
The annual conference supports the continued development of shellfish and seaweed production in Alaska, looking at accomplishments and opportunities in areas including industry growth, education, and research.
This year’s conference will be held at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center, and will include annual meetings for members of the Alaska Mariculture Alliance (contact Jason Lessard jlessard@alaskamariculture.org for membership information) and Alaska Shellfish Growers Association (see website for membership information). Some AMA and ASGA sessions will have participation options via video conferencing.
AKCRRAB program will be meeting in Juneau at APICDA office (302 Gold St, Juneau, AK 99801) on February 15 from 2–4pm. The meeting is for the AKCRRAB steering committee and associated participants.
The Alaska Mariculture Alliance is hosting a lunch on February 17, for legislators and staff to meet and chat with mariculture professionals while sampling fresh seafood products.
Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF) is pleased to offer travel support to members of the Alaska Mariculture Alliance for the Mariculture Conference of Alaska on February 15-17, 2023.
