Webinar series: Access to capital for mariculture businesses

Alaska Sea Grant is hosting a series of free webinars sharing information about sources of capital for starting and expanding mariculture operations. Designed for mariculture farmers, nursery and hatchery operators, and processors, each webinar will highlight a different business development program or resource, including grants and low-interest loans.

September 8, 2022 – Mariculture Revolving Fund 

Representatives from the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development will discuss the Mariculture Revolving Loan Fund.    

October 6, 2022 – Alaska Small Business Development Center

Representatives from the Alaska Small Business Development Center will discuss resources available through their organization. 

November 3, 2022 – Agriculture Revolving Loan Fund

Representatives from State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources will discuss the Agriculture Revolving Loan Fund.

December 15, 2022 – Farm Service Agency Loan Fund

Representatives from the USDA Farm Service Agency will discuss the Farm Service Agency Loan Fund.

January 12, 2023  – NOAA federal funding opportunities 

Representatives from the NOAA Alaska Regional Office will discuss federal funding opportunities available through NOAA.

February 2, 2023 – Mariculture Incentive Grant Program 

Representatives from the Alaska Mariculture Alliance will discuss the Mariculture Incentive Grant Program.
