Transportation in Juneau

The event will be held in downtown Juneau, where most lodging, restaurants, shops, and the state capitol are within walking distance. Transportation will be provided for event-related activities, but you may also wish to explore other options for getting around town. Visit Juneau has more information about things to see and other amenities. 

Public Transit — Capital Transit

  • Use Routes 1 (Douglas) or 3 (Mendenhall Valley loop), both of which stop at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall/Whittier Street and Willoughby Avenue near the venue.
  • The core service buses run daily—typically from about 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday–Saturday.

 Walking

  • The Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall is within walking distance from most hotels, shops and restaurants in the downtown historic district.

Taxis, rideshares and shuttles

  • Taxis and rideshares (e.g. Uber/Lyft) are available in Juneau, especially downtown and from the airport.

Driving and parking

  • On-street parking is available near Whittier Street and Willoughby Avenue, payable via meters or the ParkSmarter app.
  • For off-street options within a short walk of Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall, consider:
    • Marine Parking Garage, 290 Marine Way (multi-level garage with hourly rates)
    • Shopper’s Lot, 100 Main Street (surface lot open 24/7, hourly rates apply evenings and weekends)
    • North Franklin Lot, corner of 2nd Street and North Franklin (hourly parking available)
