Meet the new Alaska Sea Grant Mariculture Specialist and Fellow on October 17, 2024, at 3pm. Alaska Sea Grant has a growing team that delivers training, research, and extension to support new and existing ocean farmers in Alaska. This webinar will introduce James Crimp and Rachel French, the new members of the mariculture team, give an update on recent and upcoming events, and then ask for your input on future needs through a short survey and discussion. We are looking for feedback on potential future training and extension topics that could include but are not limited to:

• Modernizing oyster cultivation equipment
• Hatchery and nursery systems
• New loans and grants for farms

• Incorporating tourism into farming
