Investigating Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning: Hands-on Toxin Detection

This workshop will take place October 14, 15, 21 and 22, at 5:30–8:30 pm each day.

Alaska Sea Grant and Kodiak College are hosting a public education class focused on paralytic shellfish poisoning. The course includes hands-on laboratory investigations and incorporates intermediate lab skills. Students may take the class for college credit with the completion of additional assignments.

Enrollment is open to anyone in the community 16 and older, including high school juniors and seniors, and undergraduate students. Participants under 18 must provide a parental waiver. Those younger than 16 may enroll with instructor permission.

This workshop is free and limited to 12 participants.
