Focus

Sierra studies how environmental factors affect mariculture growth on Alaskan aquatic farms, and shares that knowledge with farmers and stakeholders. Her work primarily focuses on farms in Kodiak, Kachemak Bay and Prince William Sound through the Mariculture Research and Restoration Consortium.

Interests

Sierra loves being active in all the weather Southeast Alaska has to offer. She bikes and sails in the summer, skis and snowboards in the winter, and hikes to forage and hunt on rainy days in the spring and fall.
