Sierra studies how environmental factors affect mariculture growth on Alaskan aquatic farms, and shares that knowledge with farmers and stakeholders. Her work primarily focuses on farms in Kodiak, Kachemak Bay and Prince William Sound through the Mariculture Research and Restoration Consortium.
