Support Alaska Sea Grant

Your support plays a vital role in strengthening Alaska’s coastal communities, healthy marine ecosystems, and workforce development.
Partnerships are at the heart of Alaska Sea Grant’s collaborative work to support communities across the state. Together, we support the seafood and other marine industries; provide educational opportunities for students of all ages; and work with communities to understand, plan for, and respond to emerging issues, including natural disasters, changing environmental conditions, invasive species, and more.
As a valued partner, we are asking you to take a moment to voice your support of Sea Grant in FY 2026 federal appropriations. As one of the 34 Sea Grant programs operating in every coastal and Great Lakes state, Alaska receives a portion of the annual appropriation to Sea Grant. For over 50 years, Sea Grant has delivered strong returns on the nation’s investment. Alaska Sea Grant produced an economic benefit for our state last year of over $52 million from a federal investment of $1.9 million.
Alaska’s congressional delegation is very supportive of the work of Alaska Sea Grant, and we value our productive relationships with them. Thank you for taking the time to let our elected officials know you too support Alaska Sea Grant. Hearing from you can make a difference.
