8:30 am – 5 pm each day

The AK On-Board program is a series of regional hands-on training opportunities for beginning commercial fishermen. The program is led by Alaska Sea Grant, Alaska Longline Fishermen’s Association, Alaska Marine Conservation Council, Alaska Marine Safety Education Association, and regional partners to help new crewmembers gain basic crew skills, learn about marine safety, network with prospective employers, and meet other people in the industry. This three-day event is regionally focused by our local planning committees, and includes a mix of hands-on activities, lectures, discussion panels, and events.
